Em Portugal não há religião de nenhuma espécie.

Até a sua falsa sombra,

que é a hipocrisia,

desapareceu.

Ficou o materialismo estúpido,

alvar, ignorante, devasso e desfaçado,

a fazer gala da sua hedionda

nudez cínica no meio das ruínas

profanadas de tudo o que elevava o espírito.

Uma nação grande ainda poderá ir vivendo e

esperar por melhor tempo,

apesar desta paralisia que lhe pasma a vida da alma

na mais nobre parte de seu corpo.

Mas uma nação pequena, é impossível;

há-de morrer.

Mais dez anos de barões e de regímen da matéria,

e infalivelmente nos foge deste corpo

agonizante de PortugaL

o derradeiro suspiro do espírito.

Creio isto firmemente.

Mas ainda espero melhor todavia,

porque o povo,

o povo povo está são:

os corruptos somos nós os que

cuidamos saber e ignoramos tudo….
